Hmm, unlucky day for Merlin. In the morning he did a fast and furious recall to me, running directly into my feet head first without braking at all! He yelped and for a moment I thought also his neck is broken now.

In the afternoon I practiced with this year's Finnish team for the world championship competition. We started with rubble search and ended the day with obedience and dexterity. Merlin was travelling with me and got to spend a lot of time in the car. He is not so good at doing pee and poo away from home but managed and this was good practice.

In the evening at home Merlin was bursting with energy. It was raining and he got all wild outside when his coat got wet. I had to take him inside in an attempt to calm him down but it was no good. He kept running around his own room like crazy, the floor got slippery from all the water dripping off his coat and he slipped and fell and yelped out loud but kept running around like mad, with all the puppy energy a puppy in wet tingling coat can have... I had to catch him and put him in a crate to calm down and to protect him from more accidents. I am afraid we took a step backwards when it comes to his paw!
