Sunny afternoon. All the dogs are home again. Merlin stayed with a very nice lady who said he was so good: so easygoing with all the people, other dogs and in all situations that if all PONs were like him this would be the most popular dog breed in the world! And she knows PONs.
Merlin hadn't answered when other dogs growled or barked at him on walks, and he doesn't pull on leash much either. I agree with all of this: he is a very easygoing dog in all those matters. We should have more PONs like this: dogs that an averige person with ordinary knowledge of dogs can manage without them turning into problem dogs or showing undesired behavior.

And apparently Merlin hadn't dismantled any things during his stay with my friend! :-)

It seems staying away from home alone in the big city made country-boy Merlin grow up and mature and become more independent. When he came back home, the blind and old Miklos sniffed his face (he "sees" through his nose) tail wagging and then growled at him. Guess what? Merlin growled back at him, too. Not with with a sound that I could hear but I had my hand on his side and I felt it. I asked him what did he think he was doing and he stopped it immediately. Now he is back to being youngest in the pack again. ;-)

Merlin was very very excited to see The Mop again. He spent a long while doing gynecolocal examinations on her but nope, she still has no uterus or heat. Poor, poor, hopeful boy Merlin.
