Joulumaa
The past 8 days have been quite busy at school. The mansion and the farm has a 14-year-old tradition of arranging a big Christmas happening. The big greenhouses are transformed into Christmasland with lots of Christmas flowers and products on sale, a market, a church / concert hall, and farm animals in exhibition. There have been over 11 000 visitors in Christmasland in a week the last years!
During the happening we practise working in a flower store, packing flowers, giving the customers advice etc. We also did an exam which included making a Christmas flower arrangement, customer service, and an interview where they asked some tough questions about things we should know by now. I passed the examination with the highest grade. :-)
After a hectic week and having packed probably several hundreds offlowers for the customers it felt really good when the Christmas holiday started! After the holiday we will have a 5-week distance-learning phase, the last one when we are studying at home and not working.
Here are some photos from the Christmasland.
